Final Reflection

This course has been very useful and enjoyable for me. I have developed my English speaking skills and also I have learnt a lot of grammar rules. The most enjoyable part of this course was the impromptu speeches, because I think they’re one of the most common types of speech and when you give them you can truly loss your feel of talking in front of a lot of people. But speeches weren’t all, we also read some interesting stories and learnt new vocabulary and grammar structures. I think this course was very complete and challenging. Thank you Miss Irma!

Third Month Reflection

This third month I have learnt a lot of new things. We started with the different conditionals and they weren’t very hard to learn, because I had already seen them briefly in high school. However, since then I have a little trouble with the third one. It’s harder for me to recognize and write it.

On the other hand, we read a very interesting story called “The Necklace”, I liked it because of the topics it was about and also because I learnt new words, such as nimbleness that means ‘agile’ and gallantries that refers to heroic bravery.

Money to the Rescue Reflection

Bill and Melinda Gates are on of the wealthiest couples on earth and also the most charitable. They have showed us that money isn't just for buying luxurious things, but also for making a good impact in the world.
I was really interested about them, specially about Bill, because I admire how he mastered a tech-company and became rich very young. I strongly believe that just with technology I can help a lot of people and make this world a better place to live in.

The "Normal" Hero

“Everyone can be a superhero, just intelligence and pure values are needed” Don’t you want to become one?

Iron Man is the clearest example of a “normal” person that without supernatural forces, has become in a superhero. His name is Tony Stark, a genius man that in a difficult situation created a machine which he has upgraded and used to save billions of people.

However, there are more reasons why I admire him. The first one is his sense of humor. Sometimes he can be rude but in the end he only looks forward to the common good. Secondly, he has developed very advanced technologies which can help the community without his presence, that is called legacy.

If someday I get the chance of being him, I will definitely fly above cities looking for people to help. Also I would follow his steps and start thinking and developing new technological tools in order to keep peace and security. The funny thing is that I can start doing this now. All of us can.

Hello, my name is Ulises Gilberto Lugo Fletes. I was born and raised in Colima, Colima, Mexico and I study BS computer science and technologies as a major at the Tec of Monterrey. My birthday is on October 12, 1999. I have one sister, a dog and both of my parents as a family.

I like to practice soccer and piano after school. I really enjoy watching series such as Suits, Arrow, Flash, The Walking Dead, Lost, Under the Dome and Blindspot. I like going to watch soccer games at the stadiums and on TV. I follow the ´Chivas´, which is my favorite soccer team.
